Operations Unit

We consolidated our multi-channel fieldwork resources under a new management structure in early 2007. The FDS Operations Unit provides excellence across the full range of fieldwork disciplines. Internally the unit supports FDS project managers in the Customer, Social and Business research teams as they deliver client-focused research solutions. Externally we undertake fieldwork only (or ‘field and tab’) projects for a range of clients including:

• Other research agencies – either facing capacity challenges with their own fieldwork resources or without fieldwork capability;
  
• Business clients with their own in-house research units;
  
• Management consultancies;
  
• Independent research consultants;
  
• Overseas agencies – both within and outside the IriS network
